Artist Overview

Percy, AKA: Jeff Percival, has been playing in clay since 1974.  He started because he needed a way to relax after a day as a teacher of special ed. students. He calls his playing in clay his "therapy".  

After decades of working on the wheel, he shifted to slab work because he was doing "parent care" on the weekends and didn't have the time to trim his leather hard pieces.   

Percy is continuously exploring new pieces/shapes and processes.  As you can see from his picture, he loves Raku.  He wants texture and Mother Nature to be reflected in his works.
